Florida remains one of premier sportfishing locations in the world. The "gulfstream",
a river-like mass of water which travels to the north, passes no more then a few
miles from the coast of Palm Beach County. Warmer than surrounding water the gulfstream
carries crystal clear, nutrient rich, cobalt blue water. These nutrients concentrate
bait, attract smaller fish, which in turn attract larger pelagic fish. Marlin,
tuna, sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, shark, bonito, cobia, barracuda, amberjack,
grouper and snapper can be caught at any given time. The boat ride to these productive
grounds is generally less than 5 miles and takes less than fifteen minutes.
